Paris, France — 18/05/2026 — TOTALNET Uruguay, a company owned by Nuek, a Minsait Business, and a leading payment processing services provider, today announced the successful completion of a major IT modernization program carried out as part of its long‑term technology evolution, in collaboration with European Business Solutions (EBS).
The initiative included the migration of its COBOL-based OpenVMS legacy on-premises environment towards a modern multi-cloud environment, marking a critical step towards enhanced service delivery and operational agility, fully aligned with TOTALNET’s strategic roadmap to adopt next‑generation software and platform capabilities within the Nuek technology ecosystem.
The modernization program has been strategically designed in phases. The first phase, completed in 2022, focused on the offloading and migration of TOTALNET’s core business applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Microsoft Azure. This milestone has been successfully achieved in a record time of just ten months through close collaboration between TOTALNET and EBS teams.
In 2024, an additional phase addressed a major database version upgrade required for regulatory and compliance purposes. Most recently, the final phase introduced significant improvements in platform performance, stability, and long‑term maintainability, further preparing TOTALNET’s technology stack for future software‑driven innovation.
This modernization journey represents a foundational step in TOTALNET’s broader transformation towards a modern, scalable, and software‑centric payments platform, consistent with the technological vision and standards promoted by Nuek.
